PoseidonPoseidon's roman name is Neptune. He is the God of the sea and his parents are Cronus and Rhea; his lover is Amphritrite. When he was born his father, Cronus swallowed him and he was actually born later when his Zeus saved him. His symbols are a horse, trident and a dolphin. The festival Aeginetarum Feriae was a feast that lasted 16 days in honor of Poseidon. I would describe him as one of the most powerful gods. In one story Poseidon and Athena were both interested in the patronage of Athens. Both of them gave the city state something of benefit. Poseidon gave them a well full of salt water and Athena gave them an olive tree that was a sign of peace. Athena won the patronage so Poseidon was furious, he then cursed the city state and vowed that they'd never have enough water.

ZuesZeus/Jupiter is the brother of both Poseidon and Hades and is the son of Cronus and Rhea. Zeus has a ton of kids including Ares, Athena, and Apollo. When he was born his mother wanted to protect him so she covered a rock in cloth and gave it to Cronus so that he ate a rock and not him. Zeus is the king of the sky and his symbols are a thunderbolt, a bull and an eagle. The Olympic games are the main festival for Zeus. I would describe Zeus as the most powerful god. In order for Zeus to become the ruler of both Earth and the Sky he had to defeat his father. With the help of his siblings, which he had to get from Cronus's stomach, he fought the Titans and then had to fight the Giants and Typhon. After that Poseidon, Hades and Zeus made a draw for who would be the ruler and Zeus won.

HadesHades/Pluto is the god of the underworld and in my opinion he is the scariest god. There are no festivals for Hades. Hades was born because of Zeus making Cronus throw him up. He is the god of The Underworld and his symbols are fire, a drinking horn and a key. In one story Hades abducted Persephone, Zeus's daughter. He took her to The Underworld and kept her for a long amount of time until Demeter heard about this and told Zeus. Zeus only told Hades to let Persephone go after Demeter threatened to stop growing crops, which would kill the human race.
